Flood in Australia: disaster continues
Australia has experienced its most powerful flood in a century. Ongoing rains have led to three deaths, numerous missing persons, and the evacuation of hundreds. According to Associated Press, the storm has hit the eastern coast of the country, causing widespread flooding.
The weather shows no signs of yielding. We see the rains continue and intensify, - noted the regional administration.
The disaster has already claimed the lives of three people in New South Wales, with one more person reported missing. The death toll is expected to rise with new precipitation. Flood levels in this region have surpassed those of the floods in 1921 and 1929. Areas that have never faced flooding before are now underwater, including regions near the town of Taree.

Police continue their search for another missing man near the flooded road section. In total, over 500 people have been evacuated by rescuers in two days, helping individuals leave their flooded homes via roofs.
The Premier of New South Wales has warned of continuing severe weather over the next few days and has taken into account the risks for nearly 50,000 people. In such a situation, prompt response and support from government agencies is critical.
