More than a hundred hotels closed at a popular resort in Turkey: reason.

The authorities of the resort city of Antalya in Turkey have sealed off 174 hotels due to violations of fire safety regulations. The decision was made after inspections conducted following a fire in January at the Bolu resort. The Turkish Ministry of Tourism inspected 294 hotels in the Muratpaşa district that have tourist facility certifications. Identified violations were to be corrected by May 31, but many establishments did not comply with safety requirements.
On June 2, the sealing of 174 hotels that did not rectify violations began.
In this regard, around 1,200 hotels in Antalya province may also be closed due to violations of fire safety regulations. The tragedy at the Bolu hotel, where 78 people died, led to increased safety controls at hotels across the country and the sealing of establishments that did not meet the requirements.
Compliance with fire safety rules in hotels is becoming increasingly important in Turkey after the tragic fire in January and the threat of closure of more than a thousand establishments in Antalya.
