Trade with the EU: Ukraine has reduced export quotas for sugar and poultry meat.


The Cabinet of Ministers has approved new amendments to the resolution on export quotas for sugar and poultry meat to the European Union. According to Resolution No. 664, the export quota for sugar will be nearly 11,0075 thousand tons.
Licensing for sugar exports will be valid until August 5, 2025. The volume of the quota will be distributed among exporters based on their actual exports to the EU during the current year.
The quota for meat and by-products of poultry is 51,061 thousand tons. An updated quota for the export of turkey meat and by-products has also been introduced - 1,439 tons.
Compared to previous figures, the new quotas for 2025 are: 107,238 tons of sugar, 55,536 tons of poultry meat, and 1,565 tons of turkey meat.
Licensing for poultry and turkey meat exports will last until December 31, 2025. The total quota will be distributed among exporters depending on their actual exports to the EU during the first four months of 2025.
The reserve quota for poultry meat (1,071 tons) will be distributed among exporters who did not ship this product in the first four months of 2025.
The government has adopted new changes to the resolution regarding the export of sugar and poultry meat to the EU. These changes will affect the quotas and licenses for exporting these products in the region for the next few years, enhancing trade relations between Ukraine and the European Union.
