New roses named after Princess Kate Middleton
The Royal Horticultural Society has cultivated a new variety of roses, which have been named Catherine's Rose in honor of Princess of Wales Kate Middleton. Proceeds from the sale of these roses will be donated to support patients battling cancer, reports 'Glavkom'.
It is known that the Royal Horticultural Society chose Princess Kate Middleton as the name for the new floral variety to raise awareness about the importance of spending Time in nature among flowers and greenery. This contributes to the overall well-being of the soul, body, and spirit of a person.
The new coral-pink roses have a scent of rahat-lukum and mango. Up to 15 flowers can bloom on one stem, ranging in size from 8 to 12 centimeters. Starting from May 9, they will be available for purchase, with £5 from each sold rose going to support cancer research at the Royal Marsden charity.
In September of last year, Princess Kate Middleton returned to fulfilling her duties, which had been put on hold due to hospitalization and cancer treatment. She met with the team from the Early Years Development Centre at Windsor Castle to discuss a project dedicated to early childhood development, reports The Telegraph.
