Starting July 1, 2025, Ukraine will implement a new voltage standard in its electrical networks - 230 volts. This change will not affect electricity payment amounts and will not require additional expenses from consumers. This decision has been made for unification with European standards, which will facilitate maintenance, enhance the reliability of electricity supply, and improve the performance of household appliances.
We remind you that electricity payments are based on the actual energy consumed in kilowatt-hours, not the voltage level. The technically permissible voltage range will be from 200 to 240 volts, with a recommendation to set protective equipment to a range of 207-253 volts.
Ukraine is switching to a new voltage standard in its electrical networks - 230 volts to unify with European standards. This will facilitate maintenance, enhance electrical safety, and provide more reliable electricity supply for consumers. Moreover, this step will not affect the size of electricity bills for the population. This is one of the steps forward in the country's energy sector aimed at improving the quality of life for Ukrainians.
