Frontline situation as of April 18. Summary of the General Staff.


According to official data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops continue to attack Ukraine. In recent hours, they have carried out four missile strikes and 75 aviation strikes, using nine missiles and 124 guided aerial bombs. The enemy has also deployed 1014 kamikaze drones and conducted over 4400 shelling attacks aimed at our military positions and populated areas.
According to preliminary data, as of 22:00 on April 18, 124 combat clashes were recorded. Our forces actively counteract the Russian invaders and try to disrupt their plans, as well as exhaust their combat potential.
The most tense situation is observed in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked our defenders in the area of Vovchansk and Mala Shapkivka. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted offensive actions near Zahryzivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Nova Kruhlyakivka. The defense forces repelled 12 assaults in the Lymansk direction, while in the Siversk direction, enemy forces attacked twice in the areas of Spirne and Verkhnokamianske.
The enemy also attacked positions in the Kramatorsk direction around Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, Stupochky, and Bila Hora. In the Toretsk direction, there were 21 clashes during which Russian invaders attempted to storm the positions of Ukrainian units.
In various directions, including Pokrovsk, Novopavlivsk, Huliaipol, and Kursk, the enemy continues to conduct attacks and strike with aerial missiles and bombs.
Analysis:
In recent hours, Russian troops continue active actions against Ukraine. Their aggression covers several directions, including Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kharkiv, and Kursk. Our defense forces remain reinforced and repel enemy attacks, but the situation remains tense. Shelling and offensive actions of the invaders lead to the destruction of populated areas and pose a threat to the civilian population. The war in Ukraine has been going on for the 1150th day, and the end of the conflict is not currently in sight.
