From August 1, 2025, Ukrainian individual entrepreneurs must be careful again: full penalty sanctions for violating the rules of using cash registers will be reinstated. The state announced this innovation on its website. Since the beginning of 2023, entrepreneurs could be fined, but at a reduced rate (25% and 50%) to give businesses a chance to adapt. However, from August 1, these benefits will be canceled, and fines for non-use of cash registers and absence of receipts will be restored in full. 'We urge business entities to ensure compliance with the established rules of settlements in the field of trade, public catering, and services,' the Tax Service underlined. Fines for non-compliance with cash register and receipt requirements will amount to 100% of the value of goods (works, services) for the first violation and 150% of the value for each subsequent violation. Individual entrepreneurs must only use registered cash registers or accounting books, and receipts must be issued to buyers in paper or electronic form. In addition, the IMF suggests that the government introduce new taxes, including on the sale of goods through online platforms.
