Fraudsters Know the Mobile Numbers of Ukrainians - Who Will They Call.

Viktor Kipcharskiy shared this incident on his Facebook page.
More Details About the Situation
According to Viktor Kipcharskiy, he received a call from a person who introduced themselves as a Kyivstar employee and asked if he was planning to change his SIM card to a new one in the coming year.
The man suspected that something was wrong, as he had previously encountered fraud on social networks when his friends fell victim to hackers and were asked to transfer money.
After deciding to check the situation by calling the Kyivstar hotline, the man received confirmation from the company that such calls were not their practice and that it was possibly a scam by fraudsters.
In the editorial office of news.LIVE, Kyivstar explained that the procedure for replacing a SIM card takes place in the operator's stores, and offers for exchange during phone calls are not made. The company urged subscribers to immediately report such cases.
Recently, Ukrainians have actively been transferring their numbers from one mobile operator to another, with the company lifecell being especially popular.
We also previously reported on the limits for topping up mobile operator accounts, in particular, Vodafone subscribers can top up their account by 15 thousand hryvnias.
The basis for the new deception in the form of representatives of the mobile operator Kyivstar has been phone calls, during which fraudsters try to convince citizens of the necessity to change their SIM card to a new one. In this regard, people are advised to contact the operator's stores directly in such situations and to immediately report attempts at deception.Read also
