Shooting in Odesa: two teenagers who injured a man are suspected.

In Odesa, two minors have been charged with hooliganism. According to police reports, the teenagers attacked a stranger in a park, where they used pneumatic pistols. This incident occurred at the end of June during the day.

According to law enforcement, three teenagers, two of whom were armed with pneumatic pistols, came to the park with the intent to mock a homeless person. The teenagers encountered a man who they claimed approached them, insulted him, and then began shooting with the pistols. The victim was exhausted, but the teenagers managed to inflict several injuries on him. Bystanders called the police and an ambulance.

“We have gathered enough evidence and notified the suspects of their charges of hooliganism... According to the sanction of Part 4 Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, this crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to seven years,” said Olena Shevchenko, a police investigator.

Two offenders, aged 14 and 16, were detained the same day. Their pneumatic pistols, which the boys had purchased online, were confiscated. Nighttime house arrest was imposed on the suspects. The third perpetrator is being sought.

Context

The teenagers acted cruelly and thoughtlessly, using prohibited weapons to attack a defenseless person. After this, they were to be involved in criminal proceedings and may face imprisonment.
