New Rules for Distance Learning Introduced in Schools: What Will Change from September 1.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has made changes to orders 1112 and 1115 regarding distance learning under martial law. The innovations related to the implementation of the 'School Offline' project will take effect on September 1, 2025, after registration with the Ministry of Justice.
According to the updated requirements, a minimum of 20 students will form a distance learning class, but for some institutions, this number may be reduced. For example, for schools in occupied or remote areas, the minimum number of students may be only 10, in cities – 15. An exception is made for educational institutions of specialized and special education.
The improvements will allow schools to form distance classes for different age groups of students, regardless of the availability of separate parallel classes.
Particular attention is paid to organizing education for different categories of children. Now, within one distance learning class, students will learn according to the same educational program, which will simplify the work for teachers and ensure quality education regardless of geographical location.
Children from occupied territories will be able to continue their education at their school through distance learning without moving to another institution. In regions with possible combat actions, in-person learning remains a priority, considering the availability of shelter in the school.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science is making changes to the orders on distance learning under martial law. The innovations provide for the formation of distance classes for different categories of students and the simplification of the educational process organization.
